The famous and stunning Cayo Coco Bandero is an easy 30 minute sail. For guests coming in by road transfer from Panama City, arrival is at Carti, the port of San Blas, there you will board the water taxi appointed by the transfer company. It is around a 40 minute water taxi transfer to the catamaran which will be anchored in Cayo Limon or any of the islands that compose the stunning Dutch Cays. The exact location of the catamaran varies depending on the wind direction and sea state.

If you come by road, the transfer company will drop you off at one of the ports of Carti which is one of the ports at San Blas. Reaching the port by boat is not feasible due to the extremely shallow waters caused by nearby rivers. Additionally, meeting the catamaran close to shore is not ideal; the muddy waters and landscape near the coast differ significantly from the beautiful outer cays we prefer you to visit. From Cayo Limon, it's only a short one-hour sail to the Dutch Cays. Border to Port: After crossing the border, continue for about 40 minutes to the port to board a shared water taxi to the catamaran. You may wait 15-20 minutes or longer for your water taxi. Water Taxi Ride: The ride to the catamaran takes at least 40 minutes, with possible stops along the way. Sea Conditions: The water taxi experience can be bumpy due to open seating, so it’s advisable to bring a raincoat. Authorized Operators: Only Guna indigenous drivers and authorized taxi boat captains are permitted to provide these transfers. Charter companies cannot operate their own vehicles for this service; this has always been the case.

For guests coming in by air transfer, the catamaran will be located right next to the air strip. You will easily board the catamaran with a 2 minute water taxi ride and start your cruise. The famous and stunning Cayo Coco Bandero is an easy 30 minute sail. For guests coming in by road transfer from Panama City, arrival is at Carti, the port of San Blas, there you will board the water taxi appointed by the transfer company. It is around a 40 minute water taxi transfer to the catamaran which will be anchored in Cayo Limon or any of the islands that compose the stunning Dutch Cays. The exact location of the catamaran varies depending on the wind direction and sea state.

If you come by road, the transfer company will drop you off at one of the ports of Carti which is one of the ports at San Blas. Reaching the port by boat is not feasible due to the extremely shallow waters caused by nearby rivers. Additionally, meeting the catamaran close to shore is not ideal; the muddy waters and landscape near the coast differ significantly from the beautiful outer cays we prefer you to visit. It's highly advisable to have the catamaran stay at Cayo Limon, providing a pleasant start and the opportunity for a quick snorkel at the nearby reef. From Cayo Limon, it's only a short one-hour sail to the Dutch Cays. In contrast, if we picked you up from Carti port, it would add approximately three more hours to reach the Dutch Cays, which is not ideal. Flying in offers a whole different experience. You'll land right next to the catamaran, and it's just a 45-minute sail to the stunning Coco Bandero.

In our catamaran charters we include moderate alcohol consumption, except on the Salina 48 which we have an open bar with all drinks included. According to the World Health Organisation (WHO ) , moderate consumption of alcohol is equivalent to 2 glasses of beer or wine a day, we add to this some cocktails made by the crew in the evenings. Alcoholic beverages offered on board are beer, wine and rum, the customer can always bring alcoholic beverages of their own if they wish. Included per person/day: 1/2 bottle of wine 2 beers afternoon cocktail Note that this is not a booze-cruise and that absolutely wasted to the point of endangering yourself or disrupting the charter or our operations will not be tolerated. Absolutely not. When a guest drinks, their cognitive abilities and judgment can decline, making it more challenging to make safe decisions. Balance issues and delayed reaction times can be particularly dangerous while sailing or even at anchor. Additionally, disturbances in the inner ear can make it difficult for someone who falls into the water to determine which way is up. Alcohol consumption can impair peripheral vision, depth perception, and focusing abilities. For these reasons and more, we do not allow excessive drinking while on your vacation in San Blas. Enjoying a couple of beers or sipping on nice wine is perfectly fine, but being drunk on board our catamarans and acting recklessly or disrespectfully is not tolerated. For your safety, the captain will take necessary actions, including suspending the charter or canceling the trip altogether, and disembarking your group if needed.
